'Little Shop' Closing Doors on BroadwayNEW YORK (AP) - Audrey II, that people-eating plant on Skid Row, is folding up its fronds. The Broadway revival of ``Little Shop of Horrors,'' which now stars 'N Sync pop star Joey Fatone, will close Aug. 22 at the Virginia Theatre after a run of 372 performances, it was announced Tuesday. Fatone plays Seymour, the mild-manned flower shop clerk in the musical, written by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken. The production, which opened on Broadway last October, was one of off-Broadway's biggest hits more than two decades ago. The original premiered in July 1982 and ran for more than 2,000 performances. The 1986 movie version starred Rick Moranis, Ellen Greene and Steve Martin. On the Net: http://www.littleshopofhorrors.com 07/28/04 15:53 © Copyright The Associated Press. All rights reserved.
